Calm Sojourn

Cost effective stay in central KL location

Pros: This apartment is located on the 39th floor of a building in a 3-tower complex, which is in a security controlled mini-precinct. The property is a stone’s throw to Petronas Towers and the KLCC Suria mall alongside (which we visited frequently during our KL stay at Calm Sojourn of 3 nights on our onward journey; 2 nights on our return one). The unit has most basics including a water filter (though handwash and hand towels are not provided) with fantastic nighttime city views from two of the 3 bedrooms. All in all, a comfortable and very affordable stay in a convenient central city location. Given the security set up we strongly advise any guests arriving from overseas to use the airport transfer service that the apartment can organise for them. We used the service 3 times and found it to be very price competitive, with friendly and dependable drivers (Theo and Forest – thanks again!) that were very helpful at drop off and pick up inside the complex.

Cons: Other than the lack of hand towels (and handwash in the second visit), perhaps some of the fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms and kitchen are ready to be renovated now. And more rails and/or hooks in the bathrooms would always be welcome.

A comfortable, inexpensive, quiet and prestigious stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Pros: The Sky Suites are located in a prestigious location, just a few hundred metres from the Petronas Towers. My suite was clean, quiet and comfortable. For KL it was very reasonably priced. Coffee and food was available within a few hundred metres of the property.

Cons: Animals, posing as human beings, had slung all manner of litter and debris from the upper floors, and it had come to rest immediately outside my living room window on a narrow roof. Why they couldn’t deposit in a bin in their room instead of throwing it out of a tower block window is one of life’s mysteries. Block lifts under maintenance also led to some rather long waits. I had difficulty locating the water heater switch. Perhaps the Management Company could provide each new client with a typed list providing instructions on the use of the gate / lift access card, the door access code method, the water heater, - and advise whether the refrigerator can be used. Mine (the Apartment’s) was not working.

Overall very pleased and would recommend

Pros: Very good location, very responsive and helpful owner/host, reasonable pricing, property is cozy and well maintianed

Cons: The building lobby is not ventilated at all and there is no window/balcony in the flat, sometimes difficult to interact with the person helping with check in/check out in terms of logistics (e.g. there was some ongoing confusion about leaving luggage behind between our 2 stays - could have been resolved with better communication between property owner/host and this person)

Value for money

Pros: Excellent location, friendly hosts, clean facilities

Cons: Nothing wrong with the actual property itself but would have been amazing if the complex had a pool/gym.

A pleasant stay

Pros: Clean, spacious and located near where we wanted to visit in KL city. Very convenient to walk over to the twin towers, the KLCC park, Suria etc. etc.

Cons: 1) Lack of hooks to hang things in the bathroom, 2) it’s not very convenient to charge mobile phones

Pros: Great location, walking distance to KLCC. Excellent service by Calvin whom is prompt in replying and fulfilling all the requirements.

Pros: Fantastic View, friendly and helpful host, big and spacious room, clean apartment, good location just right behind KLCC. Kitchenwares all very well prepared, they even have Iron, hairdryer and ALSO AIRFRYER! For staycation, they have got full access to Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV! Overall IT'S AMAZING!

Cons: The Carpark has got super narrow driveway, not easy to drive. It'll be better there's a swimming pool.

Cons: Two of the four elevators were not working, so sometimes the waiting time for the elevator was longer.
