Nan Yeang Hotel Petaling Street

Pros: The hotel is just a 5 minutes walk from the Pasar Seni station, next to the main transport hub KL Sentral. Bus stations are also nearby. Food court can be found across the street in front of the hotel. Not a new building but clean. Air conditioner functions well. Great staff and always willing to help when you ask for.

Still a good hotel

Pros: Great location. Although aging property but it’s clean and air-con is good.

Cons: Noise can be an issue.

Pros: The staff is so accomodating they allowed us to check in early without charge. This is my third time booking at them because the location is near to all attractions, bus station and Petaling Street

Quirky Hotel in a brilliant location

Pros: Location is brilliant with many eating places, the night market and public transport links all nearby. Staff were quiet but friendly. Had a lot of character, I liked the fact that the entrance was always crowded, food stalls were right at the door. View of Street from the balcony was constant entertainment. The room had been recently part painted but the hotel decor seemed old and tired but again looked like it fitted perfectly into the area. Great air conditioning

Cons: Had to kill half a dozen small cockroaches in the first couple of days. The shower sprayed water everywhere but was hot and constant under the spray. Air conditioner run off pipe emptied across the wet room floor.

Good price, location, comfort.

Pros: Great price, clean, comfy bed, natural light and a balcony. Nice staff. Great location close to many food places and bus/train stations

Cons: Shower head is non existent, just a stream of water. Needs replacement.

Pleasant stay.

Pros: Right in Chinatown, 1 street away from the noisy Petaling Street. Hard to find comparable budget room at similar price range & if one isn’t too particular with aged room but contend enough with a good working aircon, hot shower and basic amenities.

Excellent value.

Pros: We have stayed at multiple budget places in KL and this was my favourite. Very clean and pleasant. Walkable part of town.

Cheap, clean, nice hot shower.

Pros: You know what..I’ve stayed in more expensive and newer budget hotels that had more awkwardly designed rooms and were dirtier. Nan Yeang is CLEAN! The hot water shower works just fine. The bed is comfy, the air-conditioning works well. The old guy at the counter is LOVELY and is so warm and welcoming. Furnishings are a bit old but hey I’m not complaining because of the price. I’m just staying for a place to sleep.
