The Chow Kit - an Ormond Hotel

Amazing and beautiful hotel!

Pros: The hotel was amazing. The room was luxurious and very well designed. The view was also great!

Cons: The toilet did not have charging ports for electronic toothbrushes.

Pros: The design and facilities are unique, and the breakfast is excellent.

Cons: The room’s lighting is dim, and it lacks windows that face the street.

Pros: Love the ambience, friendly staff, the food was amazing.

Very enjoyable and in a good location

Pros: no lift and narrow stairs ....the only fault.....excellent hotel and friendly staff

Cons: a lift....as I had a large bulky 25k suitcase

Charming and quaint historic boutique hotel, prime location good soundproofing, excellent service

Pros: Our upgraded room was a little small, promoted as a suite but actually a room with a sofa. The room was well furnished and quite comfortable with a comfortable king bed. Breakfast is a la carte with a focus on malaysian dishes. There was an issue with my avocado on toast, which was quickly rectified and compensated by the very professional staff. The breakfast package sold at check in includes one drink and one choice of meal.

Cons: The Towkay Suite is really more of a room with a sofa, not a suite. More western dishes at breakfast would be welcome, especially a healthy alternative.

Classy stay at an iconic KL Hotel

Pros: Breakfast was nice as were all the wonderful staff. Our suite was lovely and the decor was exceptional with a great view of the area. The space was very comfortable with ample seating to allow us to relax and enjoy the room at the end of the day. We loved the spacious bathroom with a huge shower and low lighting. The location of the Hotel is perfect as Chow Kit has some fantastic food and cultural experiences at their doorstep. We will definately return to The Chow Kit.

Cons: For the rate we paid for our suite I feel there should be coffee and tea provided in the room on arrival as well as an ironing board and iron. It may seem a small thing but when you are travelling its the little things that can make a difference to your experience. Other than that everything was perfect.

A beautiful hotel with tasteful, personal touches

Pros: Beautifully crafted spaces (very classic New York, a lot of brass and wood and moody lights), sensitively designed with class and comfort….the lobby itself is a stunning beauty to look at. I appreciate the infusion of art and photography (thoughtfully selected and showcased) present in the public and private areas. They’ve thoughtfully included a short note on the pieces featured, including the throw pottery tray in the room and the organic toiletries. There’s a sense of local pride and hospitality that gives the experience a special touch. The staff is similarly friendly and polite, and the complimentary breakfast goes beyond your typical buffet fare. I had a lovely walk around the Chow Kit area in the morning and there’s plenty of gems around - the beloved local eatery Homst and a popular Nasi Kandar restaurant among them. Shopping and train stations, all just a stone’s throw away. Also, for light sleepers — it’s really quiet at night. The insulation is good!

Cons: All great, just a heads-up to bring your own beauty kits like a comb / hairbrush, shower cap, etc. However, you can easily ask if any amenity you need is available through their room service number and they respond very quickly.

An enjoyable short work trip

Pros: Love the aesthetics of the hotel. It is clean and everything in the Tow Kay Suite was in working order. There is nothing that I did not like abt The Chow Kit. Will definitely be back! Thank you, staff for making my stay a memorable and pleasant one :)

Cute and comfy boutique hotel

Pros: The entire team is very welcoming, friendly and responsive. I enjoyed it so much here that I extended a few times. The bar offers excellent coffee and vibe-y playlists. Location-wise it's perfect for exploring.

Cons: The king and suite rooms are just two beds pushed together, so I actually preferred the den (lower category). Very few electrical outlets and small quarters, and shower tends to wet the entire bathroom floor. Many corporate events in the bar and restaurant limit guest access to areas outside of the room. Would be nice to have more common spaces to accommodate everyone.

Pros: Interior of the hotel is really good, very nicely decorated staff are friendly and nice
