Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar by IHG

Pros: Nearly everything! The room was great, modern and spacious, with a superb view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was great, with a range of options. The gym and pool were great. Really good value for money.

Cons: No in-house laundry service meant the hotel had to have my laundry collected and charged more than I was expecting. High tech water dispenser in rooms was a bit annoying to use.

Comfortable with modern concept

Pros: Modern concept and very comfortable stay. Staff are also very courteous, polite and helpful.

Cons: Not many shops or convenience stores at close walking distance.

Perfect

Pros: Everything! The room was a pleasant surprise! I really liked the way the bathroom is set up and connected to the bedroom. The open bathroom makes it easy accessible (you can also close it if you want). Everything looks nice and well maintained. Check in was smooth and easy. The staff was helpful and friendly. I also loved the gym. I seldom see a gym with up to date equipment like this. The pool is a nice place to hang out. I also feel Bangsar is a great neighborhood to stay, way more quiet that the city center. The center is just a short grab ride away.

Cons: Everything was good.

Above average chain hotel with great staff and facilities

Pros: Very comfortable hotel with unusual and cleverly designed rooms. Breakfast was out of this world Pool lovely and sheltered from sun

Cons: Location not suitable for walking far. Bangsar village and some restaurants doable though

Disappointing, considering the price

Pros: All of the staff were friendly and, mostly, helpful

Cons: No in-house laundry service meant hotel collected my laundry and charged over 400MR for what local laundry would have done for 45MR. High tech water dispenser in rooms was a pain to use. Staff touch their hearts every time they see you which feels like a diktat from above and not genuine. Quality of many of breakfast ingredients was poor. (Some was excellent.) Service at the bar had to be requested each time at reception. We felt abandoned and frustrated.

Pros: The staff were polite and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and well-kept.

Cons: We booked a suite room for three people, consisting of a king size bed and a sofa bed. However, bedsheets were not provided for the sofa bed and we had to ask the staff for an extra set.

Pros: New hotel, clean room, semi-covered pool, near to Bangsar and Mid Valley Mall

A perfect short staycation

Pros: Breakfast was good, bed was comfy and cleanliness is amazing

Cons: Everything was to my liking

Pros: The front desk staff, Ms Jestina, she is the helpful, kind and willing to go extra miles to assist. She deserves a raise! 😝

My favourite place in KL but slightly let down by pool closure that was not communicated.

Pros: This is my second time here and it was a comfortable stay. Service was top notch and the room was comfortable as well. I opted breakfast on my first day but had to have something on my last day as the breakfast is pretty good and had quite a variety of food for all palates. Also appreciate that they push local kopi and nasi lemak during breakfast.

Cons: I wanted to go for a swim but neither booking.com nor the hotel mentioned it to me during my check in that the swimming pool was closed from 17 to 20 November even after I asked the staff would there be pool attendants at their pool. This could have been mentioned earlier and cushion my disappointment. Need to do better.
